At least 35 people were killed in a gas tanker explosion in the state of Nasarawa, Nigeria. More than a hundred people have been injured, said the country’s Emergency Management Agency (SIEMMET). The incident took place at a petrol station near Lafiya-Makurdi Road in Abuja, capital of the state’s Uttaranchal on Monday, local time yesterday. Officials from the State Emergency Management Agency said the fire was extinguished after the explosion in tanker.
Siemmet’s acting director, Usman Ahmed, said the trocty exploded while pulling out the gas at the station. Now the incident is under investigation our organization.
