Bogra-6 seat has been declared as a member of the BNP’s National Assembly.
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Shirin Sharmeen Chowdhury, informed the Parliament today.
The speaker said that according to the Constitution, the first meeting of the parliament was supposed to take the oath of Mirza Fakhrul Islam Almgier within 90 days. But he failed to take the oath within 90 days of the first summit, so his seat has become vacant.
Mirza Fakhruk passed that 90 day Tuesday. He did not swear or inform the speaker of this day. As a result, his seat has been zeroed.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Thakurgaon-1 and Bogra-6 seats were selected by the 11th National Assembly elections held on December 30 last year. He was elected by Bogra in the 6th seat. BNP won the election with six seats. Five of the MPs took oath.
